1. Constable (BS-05) — 941 Posts — Largest Vacancy
Constable is the entry-level uniformed post in FIA and carries the largest number of seats in this recruitment. The provincial breakdown is: Punjab 400 (including women, minority, and disabled quota seats), Sindh Rural 91, Sindh Urban 60, KPK 92, Balochistan 48, Ex-FATA 23, Gilgit-Baltistan 8, and AJK 16.
- Qualification: Matriculation 2nd Class from any recognized Board
- Age Limit: 18–25 years (plus 5-year general relaxation)
- Height — Men: Minimum 5 feet 6 inches
- Height — Women: Minimum 5 feet 4 inches
- Chest — Men only: 33 × 34½ inches
- Endurance Run: 1.6 km — Men must complete in 7 minutes, Women in 10 minutes
2. Assistant Sub-Inspector / ASI (BS-09) — 117 Posts
The ASI post requires a 2nd Class or Grade “C” Bachelor’s degree from an HEC recognized university. Physical and endurance test requirements are identical to those for Constable. Punjab has 49 open merit seats, Sindh Rural 12, Sindh Urban 7, KPK 11, Balochistan 6, Ex-FATA 3, Gilgit-Baltistan 1, and AJK 2.
3. Sub-Inspector (BS-14) — 94 Posts
Sub-Inspector also requires a 2nd Class Bachelor’s degree and a physical test. Punjab has the highest allocation with 40 open merit seats. This is a supervisory uniformed position within FIA. Women and minority quota seats are included across provinces.
4. Lower Division Clerk / LDC (BS-11) — 64 Posts
LDC requires Matriculation and a minimum typing speed of 30 words per minute. Selected candidates must also complete a 3-week NITB Basic IT Training Course (including MS Office) within one year of appointment. Punjab has 26 seats, Sindh Rural 6, with remaining seats distributed across other provinces.
5. Stenotypist (BS-14) — 47 Posts
This post requires Intermediate education with a minimum shorthand speed of 80 wpm and typing speed of 40 wpm. Candidates must also be computer literate. Punjab has 20 seats in this category.
6. Upper Division Clerk / UDC (BS-13) — 29 Posts
UDC requires Intermediate education along with a 3-week NITB IT Training Course to be completed within one year. Punjab has 12 seats, with the rest distributed across Sindh, KPK, Balochistan, Gilgit-Baltistan, and AJK.
7. Assistant (BS-15) — 21 Posts
Assistant is the highest clerical grade in this advertisement. It requires a Graduate degree from an HEC recognized university and completion of a 6-week NITB Basic IT Training Course within one year. The age limit is slightly wider here — 18 to 28 years, plus 5 years relaxation.
8. Constable Driver (BS-05) — 39 Posts
Constable Driver requires Matriculation along with a valid Motorcycle and LTV driving license from any Pakistani licensing authority. Candidates must have practical experience driving cars and light vehicles, plus knowledge of vehicle maintenance. Physical and endurance tests apply.
9. Staff Car Driver (BS-04) — 42 Posts
Staff Car Driver requires Primary education and a valid Motor Car license. The age limit is the widest of all posts — 18 to 30 years. Candidates must be well-versed in traffic rules. No physical test is required for this post.
Physical & Endurance Test Requirements
Candidates applying for Sub-Inspector, ASI, Constable, and Constable Driver must pass physical measurements and an endurance test before they are permitted to sit the written examination. Failing the physical test disqualifies the candidate from proceeding.
